July Classes FOR DETAILS OR SIGN UP Call 615-794-4769 or Toll Free at 877-794-4769 Lets Doodle Monday July 14th, 10am-1pm or 6pm-9pm Learn how to draw leaves, flowers, and other designs using your home sewing machine. This technique class gives you ideas for blocks and borders as well as gaining experience in free motion quilting. Basis Machine Quilting class is a prerequisite for this Let’s Doodle class. Teacher: Kathy Kuryla Square in a Square Options Class Wednesday July 16th, 10am-1pm or 6pm-9pm This class features the Square in a Square Ruler. During class we make a booklet that shows exactly how to cut your squares to make the options. This is a great beginner class. When PIGS fly! July 17th starts at 10am As the calendar permits, the Quilting Squares Quilt Shop provides the classroom for those students whose projects were not completed in class time. Sign up please. A marvelous big bag to put all that stuff into!! It is great for carrying quilts. Basic Machine Quilting Wednesday August 6th 10am-1pm & 6pm-9pm Learn the basics of free motion quilting on your home sewing machine. Kathy will teach how to set up your workspace, basting and other techniques that will help you feel at ease with free motion quilting. Learn to enjoy the wonders of quilting. Jungle Animal Quilt Thursday August 7th 10am-3pm & 6pm-9pm This is a Square In A Square class that teaches how to make diamond units to complete the quilt. Learn Option 7 & 18 of the SNS system. . SEWN-N-LOVE DAY Friday August 8th 10am-? pm We quilt tops for Sewn-N-Love organization. It is a great way for beginner machine quilters to gain experience!!! The Sewn-N-Love program provides quilts to cancer patients. For more information : www.sewn-in-love.org Halloween Tablerunner Tuesday August 12th, 10am-3pm Stop by the shop and see this cute tablerunner. Have it ready for the Halloween season!! Uses the fusing method for a quick and easy runner. Straight Line Quilting Wednesday August 13th 10am - 1pm Instructor - Kathy Kuryla Afraid of tackling free motion quilting or just need to get a quilt done in a hurry?? Strap on your walking foot and let Kathy show you how to use that foot to complete beautiful quilts. This is a technique class, but may bring quilts for ideas. Super Simple Squares Quilt Thursday August 28th, 10am-3pm or 6pm-10pm Just like the title implies! It’s easy!! Made with blocks and strips, you can have this project well underway in this six hour class.
Monthly Events PMS Night Pizza, Munchies & Sewing Friday August 1, 5pm-11pm. No PMS Nights In July Always popular so you need to reserve a spot for this event. This is the night to kick back & enjoy some quality time with fellow quilters and unfinished projects. POKER NIGHT Fridays August 15, 5pm –11pm. No PMS Nights In July Bring your unfinished projects and join the fun. (PS. We don’t really play poker.) Poker night is just a cute name for a fun evening of working on projects. Sit n Stitch Tues. July 29th & August 26th starts at 10 am. We reserve the classroom for people who have hand projects to work on. Call to reserve a spot. $5.00 Saturday Sampler Saturday July 12th and August 9th Meets the second Saturday of the month at 10am. CLOTHESLINE CLUB By Darlene Zimmerman A club for people who enjoy the 30’s reproduction fabrics. Connie Stowers heads up this fun and relaxing event. Join us the 3rd Saturday of the month.
